If the pandemic has taught anything then it is to be kind to people and nature & Samrat Abhay Thorat knows this better than any of us. The current youth icon who is also a name committee member of PMC, and the corporator(councilor) from BJP in PMC(Pune Municipal Corporation) has uplifted the society via his works.
According to the reports, Samrat has worked his fingers to the bones to help all the underprivileged people during the covid times. From distributing grocery kits to more than 3500 families to giving 45000 food packets to needy people he has done it all.
When Samrat was asked what motivated him to step forward & help people in difficult times, he said, ” First of all I come from a family which serves people for years. Moreover, as an influential personality, I do get some power and if I can utilize it for the betterment of people then I will be happy to do it.”
Reportedly not only does Samrat help people by disturbing food & grocery kits, but he also joined hands with the medical teams and has also set up blood donation camps, plasma donation, and health checkup camps during the covid times. It has made a huge difference especially when people were dealing with a huge crisis.
Samrat’s deeds make us believe that humanity is still alive & if there are more people like him then emerging in a stranger way from the pandemic won’t be a challenge for a large democracy like us.
Now the pandemic has again started taking a toll on us. On asking Samrat about his views, he says, “As we can see again the pandemic has started affecting us especially the kids this time, we need to be a responsible citizen & take necessary steps.”Adding to it he also mentions, “We public figures will do everything in our power to ensure we have the number of control cases but I also urge the people to please cooperate with us. Let’s join hands together & do our best to fight against covid.”
Samrat Abhay Thorat is still thriving hard to ensure people do not suffer during these times. People like him are the ones who give us a sense of belief that beating this pandemic isn’t a challenge if we step together and do everything that can be done to beat it.
