Challenges
It was in the year 2011 when Khalid Keshta was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Still He never feared failure, and he never stopped pursuing his goals. It was a difficult time for a young ambitious man, as he was advised by everyone to change his lifestyle, be less active, don’t over workout. However, he refused to be inactive and started to go to the gym. He resolved not to give up, to work hard, to overcome this challenge, and to pursue his passion. He worked hard to break the stereotype that people with Diabetes can’t do sports or fitness activities.
In an interview he said He was never interested in being a competitive bodybuilder rather he wanted to be different and he had a believe that he could be different, and could represent the world of diabetes! He said Fitness is a hard sport, but he believed that if he could compete on stage and do well, and at the same time raise awareness, He could prove people that they can do anything if they have a dream and passion.” In 2017 Keshta entered his first competition and won.
Ever since then, he never fails to motivate people through different ways whenever he wins a competition, he either shows his diabetes gadget or puts his insulin pen in the trophy to motivate others with diabetes and raise awareness to people who do not know what diabetes is.
Khalid’s Message to the world!
Khalid’s message through his journey to the world is, you can be anything you desire, nothing can stop you from reaching your goals, neither your Diabetes or any other Disease, yes it will add challenges, but it will never be an obstacle and an excuse for someone not to reach their goal. .
I have walked my path by myself and you can also do. Your dreams are possible however difficult it may seem and and you yourself can overcome your fears too. Yes it’s sometimes scary to start so we give excuses, it may be challenging to continue so we quit but the results are always worth it. If we have determination and willpower for one defined goal in life, then nothing can stop us from achieving our goals. He is passionate about assisting people in achieving their goals and finding fulfillment in themselves.
