Anmish Varma Bhupathiraju is one of the most inspirational personalities in India. Rare are the people in the world who can achieve what he has accomplished in his life. The martial arts champion and ace mountaineer stands tall among the strongest people in the world.
Talking about his top achievements, Anmish is the first Indian to secure a gold medal in the world martial arts championship held in Athens, Greece in the year 2018. He secured a gold medal against England. Anmish is also the only Indian to secure 6 consecutive international medals from 2014 to 19 in the world martial arts championships.
Anmish Varma Bhupathiraju aiming to finish SKI Last degree South Pole and North Pole. He holds the honour of summiting Mt. Everest in one of the most difficult seasons with 2 cyclones affecting the Himalayan Ranges.

2) Climbed Europe’s highest mountain Mt. Elbrus in 2021
3) Climbed South America’s Highest Mountain Mt. Alconcagua in 2020.
4) Climbed Africa’s highest mountain Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2020.
5) Climbed North Americas Highest Mountain Mt. Denali in 2022.
Anmish Varma’s talent has been well acknowledged by the country and he has received several great honours for the same. Some of the top honours, he has received are:
1) Best Sports person award from Government of AP 2019
2) Best Sports person award from Govt of Puducherry 2019.
3) Youth icon of Vishakapatnam from Govt of AP in the year 2019-20.
4) Exemplary award from Govt of AP in 2021.
He has also been felicitated by the Ministry of Finance, Income Tax Department as Best Sports Person 2021.
Anmish has spent a great part of his life living at Simhachalam in Gopalapatnam Vizag. Talking about how he started climbing while living there, Anmish says that he was in the 4th or 5th standard when he completed his first climbing. That’s what evoked his interest even more in climbing and he set the target of climbing Mount Everest.
Talking about the challenges he has faced during climbing, Anmish Varma says that during his first journey, one of his teammates got injured. “I sacrificed my summit to ensure the safety of my teammates,” he says.
He has also faced difficulties in getting sponsorship to attempt the summit. After several challenges, he finally got funds in 2021 and climbed Mt. Everest.
